Uses NiQuitin CQ Clear is part of a programme designed to support your wish to stop smoking. The programme contains 3 steps which you will need to follow, starting with Step 1, then Step 2, then Step 3. Each step has its own strength of NiQuitin CQ Clear patch; the patches are designed to supply your body with the correct amount of nicotine, which decreases as you go from Steps 1 to 3. These patches are Step 2 of the programme 14mg patches. Directions Apply one patch to the skin once a day, preferably on waking. Step 1(21mg patches) initial treatment period 6 weeks Step 2 (14mg patches) step down treatment period 2 weeks. Step 3 (7mg patches) step down treatment period 2 weeks. Light smokers who smoke less than 10 cigarettes a day should start with step 2 (14mg patches) for 6 weeks then step 3 (7mg patches) for 2 weeks. Ingredients Each 15cm patch contains 78mg nicotine, and delivers 14mg of nicotine in 24 hours. Warnings Do not use if you are a non-smoker or an occasional smoker; if you have serious heart disease or have had a recent stroke; with other nicotine-containing patches or gum; NiQuitin CQ Clear is not for use on children under 12 years. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are under the care of your doctor or are receiving prescribed medicine, or are aged 12 to 17 years old, or are pregnant breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant or if you get a persistant skin reacton, remove the patch and see your doctor. |
